 How to make your extreme discipline a success!

1.  Keep your eye on the prize. Dream , generate new ideas , make plans , With peace at heart , execute the plan!!! 

2.  Avoid temptations. Know your temptations , weak points, make a plan to combat

3. Commit to your yourself!  Its a simple task in a long life.. You can do it!!!

4. Peacefully Make it as a habit!!!! 21 days or 6 weeks plan to put this as a routine, 

5.  Keep the routine and Give highest priority for your new habit !!! Rain or Shine!

6. Say NO to the temptations, hindrances ; Set Boundary for your own mind!

7.  Mood over routine! Use Pomodoro technique to award your after every 25 mins, to keep the rhythm going. Do 1 hour Mood lifting techniques.

Try the below mantras to improve yourself!

1. Delay the gratification , keep a wait , enjoy that excitement! 

2. Perservering through Boredom  ( Not eating <> meals , Having a pet , no sweet rewards , 1 hour mood lifter )

3. Turn off phone for 4 hours a day 

4. Keep a fasting day a week , Follow ramadan timings, Easter Timings, Navratri timings. 

5. Keep Parties as timer to finish your homework . Define homework for the week

Nationalism & Globalism

Nationalism.. why ppl love country, loyalty?

How much it is possible to love strangers of a new country?

How much it is ok to let them inside your country? ( rethink about qn 1)

How to know how to help your fellow humans ? How to help your own country citizens?

While talking about this , what happens to our loyalty and humanity upon global issues , like poverty, war etc..?

We all knew that we love our own nation.. We have some loyalty towards the land we are born. We accept and be tolerant with our own folks.

 How did it develop? 

Are we loyal to the country or to the group we belong to OR to the similar kinda people with our culture and values.?

If you take europe, there are many small countries and people have similar values /culture, even may be language. Then why is that we are loal just to our country, but not neccessarily somoene who is more like us in terms of language or culture or skin color. :) 

We all talk global problems.. we want to welcome poor refugees? But are we really love our neighboring countries or people? Where is this difference coming from? Can we clearly define what that is..

Feeling amuzed at 87 year old!

This is a blog which I wanted to publish a while ago.. But now starting again, in COVID break ..

This incident happen couple years ago.

There was one week, which held me very busy , I oddly got any good sleep & was way too tired . On top of that, work demanded more of my energy than a usual. 

 During one such a week, car servicing fell in calendar, which I realized only when I woke up. 

I went to service center , waited for some time in lobby , then handed over my car. Its a good feel to go somewhere else in the morning, other than office..hahah..  Because you see newer faces , smell fresh coffee, interact with positive attitude sales folks,  receive a friendlier treatment for no reason , feel the shiny expensive showroom  etc etc.. I love this feel ! lol...

Anyways, coming back to main story... I was supposed to be given a loaner car, but that day was way too busy. Hence they offered a drop and pick up service. So I was offered a drop to my office location with other few people. A cheerful driver who looked 60s drove the car. He sounded very happier , having funny conversations with us, cracking many political jokes. Ride was good. I enjoyed it!

 For some reasons, my car happened to be in service center for more than 3 days, hence this elderly gentleman is supposed to drive and pick up  me remaining days. I also loved the feel of  having a driver, since thats only escape from crazy traffic. I get to do something else while on my way to office and back home.

I picked up conversation with him .   Very first thing that surprised about him was, he said he is 87 :) . That stirred lot of curiosity , because he might be a man of wisdom for many life questions.

 I gently asked him about his current life style, routines etc, since we see most people in 80's are challenged with life routines. He surprised me further more.. He said he lives alone. He wakes up , he makes his own coffee in the morning, he goes to office as a first person before 7 AM , He works for 12 hours /4 days while I just cant imagine myself working all 8 hours in a day. And while I hate traffic and driving, this elderly man is happily doing the same whole day . I was super thrilled. I started liking him more and more.

I also started listening all his younger day stories ..

 On day 2 , I was more happier when I  woke up , since its a happy feeling to see this happy 87  year old!

But my work schedules remained crazy for the whole week, left me very little time to breathe.  2nd day , he called me around 2 ish and told me that he is going to pick me up 3 ish , and that was as per his supervisor's call. Though that wasnt my schedule, I somehow managed to get out at 4. And good conversations on the way ack home!

The next day morning, he called me 6 :45 AM and asked me to be ready  by 7 AM. Though that wasnt my schedule to work, I tried my level best again, since he said he didnt have much choices. It was tough for me, since i didnt get enough sleep again. Anyways, that evening my car was supposed to be given back to me . 

The same driver picked me up from work again early like 3 ish, I went to showroom, While waiting , I was striking conversation with service guy who surprised me that 87 year old driver was allocated just for my pickups and drops on my convenience & He was never instructed with any time constraints .. That really surprised me. 

The first one is.. I scolded myself for being too kind with him , irrespective of my own hectic schedules. 2nd is .. he lied to me.. not once but many times...

Any ways ... lesson learnt through that 87 year old was.. older poeple get smarter to get their life going! . And if you show kindness, not everyone appreciates that! LOL

Thats my interaction with this cheerful 87 year old, though whom I wanted to learn life 's wisdoms ..hahaha!

Life's choices and sequences!

While striking a casual conversation with a friend, she cracked a joke with a tamil movie 12B, and series of life incidents based on one's choice in life! Though she uttered few words on the flow and and topic took a total different dimension, she left a strong seed in my mind to assimilate and ponder over. and its mind boggling when you jot down with various life choices so far and what would have been your life if you have chosen one over other!

12 b is tamil movie which talks about life's choices and what your life could have been, It goes by a guy's life who misses OR catches the bus(12B) for a  job interview and related consequences /life sequences in those 2 directions (either miss or catch the bus!)

When applying this in my life and thinking thro the past, ofcourse there are some real major life choices and incidents as well! One in 2002 and other in 2007. Once upon a time, I used to walk life by pre-set protocols that made my parents/family happy, that society defined, that I thought is beneficial for goodness, that is righteous as per Hinduism's definitions. Yes life has its own plus and minus based on our choices! Sometimes we loose peace and happiness for matter of survival/materialistic success ! Sometimes we walk a lot for the game of love and ethics, and loose everything else! So, what defines one's life?



Depending upon your phase of life, one may need to choose if its to sacrifice your love or happiness or values or principles or your materialistic gains or success in life! Life is tough, and making choices arent any easy!

Lets  say a students life! Very very important phase of somebody's life  to define another 60/70 years! Key Choice! If I were a student thinking about if i want to continue my higher studies in India or in USA, one would easily choose land of opportunities to have a great future. But on what cost? what do you loose? we loose the happiness what we could give to our parents, we may live with guilty feeling that one wasnt close to loved ones, But other hand your own life also happens! Are you willing to sacrifice a great future, a great education system, a great job , a sophisticated  life, ameriacan dreams being true, over set of sentiments? Probably you may have better instruments in your hands later (by choosing materialistic gains) to make your loved one's life better too!we could still make up the loss ! Who knows! Its a trade, not a easy trade :), but a wise trade defines your life!

Same story goes to every individuals with life's choices in any age /phase of life! Decisions are always hard for me, atleast a 100% Libran female! But it happens and life goes on :)

We represent ourselves, Why not right outfit for right place!

Recently I was striking a conversation with few of  Interns at work, during a hallway discussion. And I wasn't surprised to hear about the staring stories, they get from male coworkers. I understand it kind of leaves women in awkward place, when they are getting noticed on personal body parts by their own colleagues. And while most men know to behave right, we also come across some bad apples now and then. No choice!

Its a known story that women have many challenges comparing to men,  most women learnt to  carry themselves at best of their skin  these days. Irrespective of that , at times we come across a colleague or boss who is staring at female colleagues, leaving the whole situation quite awkward.  Though Women usually pick jokes at these kind of males and have a good laugh with fellow women, we cant deny the fact we avoid to interact with those kind of 'hungry mama's own sons' ;).

What can we do about it? Of course if it gets ugly to the level of affecting productivity to business, definitely it is recommended to bring these matter to HR. But we also think twice before heading to HR, because most of these men are sole bread winners in family. We dont want to affect somebody's career on these matters. Most girls, i know.. live with it. And as ages pass by, you will learn to ignore these idiots and move on.

Dressing up or dolling up is beautiful feeling in a woman's world. Who doesn't like it? All of us are happy to show off a fat closet and we feel pride in doing that. We feel elevated when we get noticed by hot people or getting nicer comments. Absolutely no debate! But howsoever, should we dress up sexy for a workplace? Should we dress up colorful for a workplace? Should we dress up to show our hard-earned toned body at workplaces? IS that necessary? Though some of us can say , we cant help pervert eyes, Truth is we represent ourselves via our clothing. Its our body, it our image. We show our personality via our dressing. Its we, our own inner-self which gets reflected via our dressing. So we need to dress up appropriate to the place. We have different audience to show off the sexy outfits;).. lets save them for right eyes!

 It doesn't make sense to go on a turtleneck to clubbing. Similarly its not going  to win any medal, to dress up odd for workplace. A sexy outfit will not yield anything at workplace, but catches wrong eye's attention.  A great makeup skill will not get better appraisal results at workplace. If we have a weird male coworker, we need be "The woman" and solve the situation in a diplomatic way, foreseeing longrun professional relationship. Thats the beauty of a grown up girl! We are big girls! We never do things wrong! Stay beautiful sweethearts!

Science Vs Consiousness for the next generation!

Its  graduation season! Many teenagers are happy with a diploma in hand , focussing what next in life! I thought I should put my thoughts on this little bit.

In modern world, technologies and science have improved a lot.  Technologies made communication so easy between corners of the world, made life hassle-free, made knowledge available for anyone and everyone, turning the impossible possible and a lot more. Smart phones &  Communication media rule the world! And our next generation live a life in midst of  much advanced technologies. They rely on science & technology for anything and everything.  While living in such a fast phased electronic world, how much the younger generation gives importance to consciousness.

On the other side, consciousness is something which can be absorbed only in a harmony, with strong innerself development. It is something which is built with good foundation of philosophy, sociology, spirituality and humanity. You need to have a thirst to develop it. You need to have real dedication to grow gradually. Spectrum thinking is a blessing, which is rarely available.  A combination of spectrum thinking, inner consciousness will make an individual a real diamond!

While the younger generation is in a pressure to win the mudane world by materialistic things, where do they get to focus on inner consciousness or spirituality or spectrum thinking? How much parents can shape up , while they are concerned about kids future in this topsy turvy world?

I understand it is not possible for everyone. But think for a moment, that you come across a personality who is a shining star in science/technology, a winner in practical world, a philosopher, a great thinker, a spiritual person, and a good human. Can be anything better than this combination? I believe thats life's alchemy!

It s totally possible, not any brahmaastra! You can shape up the next generation , by you living such a life. And its our responsibility to shape up next generation for a better world! Let the kids get into meditation! Let the kids absorb about heavy life subjects! Let the kids brainstorm profound philosophical thoughts! Let the kids assimilate enough of complications! Let the kids read a lot! Please direct and guide them in right way! Please help them plan their day! Please build the passion in them!  It is possible! You ll be proud to see a beautiful young human, once they are molded :)
